Summary0001467: Fix to set the volume level according to the STREAM_MUSIC volume index in case of the AUX was connected
DescriptionCurrent status:
When I connect any device through AUX cable, I can hear audio from device through SWAN speaker.
And, when I change the volume from device, then the speaker volume was changed successfully.
But, when I change the volume from RCU, I can see the volume index was changed but the speaker volume was NOT changed.

To-be:
Please change the speaker volume level according to the STREAM_MUSIC volume index in case of the AUX was connected.

In the past, there was similar implementation.
The mic volume was changed according to the STREAM_MUSIC volume index.(https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1306)

Could you please check and implement it?

Thank you.

Hi Sangmin,

As mentioned in Kerwin's email sent by 4/22.
Because our mantis system is used to report issues to R&D during project development.
For Smart3 and SWAN projects, both of them are in MP stage.
There should be no new bug which is higher than S2-Severity so please change the severity to S3, S4 or S5 when you create a new case.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Thanks,
Jacky

Hi Sangmin,

I am checking how to implement it.
The current fixed ADC gain of AUX is measured by HW as not to distorting the input audio when considering the AUX input source also can adjust Volume to it's maximum.
So, we plan to let the current fixed ADC gain as level 32 of volume bar and will decrease 0.5db by every downward volume step.

Hi Sangmin,

I just committed the code to support AUX-IN volume adjust by UI Volume Bar.
You can test it by the 5/21 daily build image.

Hi, River,

I tested using daily build image, the volume was changed successfully when I try to change volume using remote control.

But, it's not applied when I connect the AUX cable at the first time.

You can reproduce with following steps.
1. Set the STB main volume level as 10.
2. Connect the Smartphone through AUX cable.
3. Play the music from Smartphone, you can hear the audio through STB's speaker.
4. Press "volume up" button of remote control, the volume level was increased, but the sound becomes low.

Please refer to the attached video.

And, I'm sorry that I forgot to inform you the SKB jira number.
The SKB jira number is BTVD-21138, please include jira number to the commit message when you fix this issue.

Thank you.
